Sample Contract/Health Guarantee
The following agreement is made between Barbara LaFontano(seller) and ____________ (buyer) for the kitten described as follows:

BUYER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Buyer accepts the responsibility of caring for this cat and providing for its welfare at all times. Purchaser agrees not to keep this cat/kitten in a cage except for transportation.
- Buyer agrees to never allow this cat to go outside.
- Buyer agrees that this cat will never be sold, lent, leased or gifted to any pet shop, animal research laboratory or similar facility engaged in the business of animals.
- This kitten is being sold as PET quality and will be guaranteed to have no congenital defects at the time of sale. Buyer agrees to have this kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase. After this 48 hour time period, seller is no longer responsible for this kitten or any Vet bills. If purchaser fails to take kitten to a veterinarian within this time period, then the purchaser takes full responsibility for said kitten. If buyers' veterinarian finds any congenital defects within the 48 hour time period, buyers' Vet and buyer must contact seller for replacement arrangements provided written proof is granted to breeder. When a "like" kitten becomes available it will be given to the purchaser. No monies will be refunded. This kitten must have been kept in isolation during the period it was in your home (away from all other animals), otherwise Seller cannot take it back and no replacement will be offered.
- This kitten is current on all shots and buyer agrees to keep them current (see shot records).
- By the signing of this contract, the buyer understands and agrees that the seller will not be held responsible for any future health problems of the skin, skeletal structure or internal organs after the kitten is in the buyers' possession. The seller will guarantee this kitten is free of congenital defects. If one is found, a replacement kitten will be arranged. NO monies will be refunded.
- If seller is no longer selling/breeding cats, all guarantees are null and void.
- This kitten is being sold as PET quality and MAY NOT be used for breeding accidental or otherwise. Proof of alteration must be provided to breeder within two weeks after alteration. Alteration should take place on after which CFA papers will be released. If alteration certificate is not provided to breeder, CFA papers will not be sent to you.
Buyer agrees that if any of the above terms are disregarded, then seller has the right to reclaim this cat without refund of the purchase price. The buyer must turn over all paperwork at that time, and pay any medical bills that might arise due to buyers neglect.
If any terms of this contract are to be held unlawful and unenforceable, all other terms of this contract shall remain in full force and in effect as if such laws of unenforceable term or condition had not been made a part of this contract.
